Ahead of this highly anticipated fourth match up between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide, many had their minds set on the Crimson Tide to bring out another championship trophy. But Dabo Swinney and the Tigers had other plans.

The Tigers pulled the upset of the century as they demolished the Crimson Tide 44-16 in the title game. Clemson asserted their dominance throughout the entire game not letting Nick Saban have the lead at all throughout the game.

Dabo’s defense also brought their A game against Bama. Allowing only 16 points to the defending champs.  They also took a interception to the house in the first quarter and they didn’t allow a single point in the second half. This star studded defense has been the best in the league all year and it is a major reason they won.

A key to the success to the Tigers victory was their star athlete Trevor Lawrence.The true freshman put up some outstanding stats, throwing 347 yards and three touchdowns on the night. Another important freshman on Clemson was their wide receiver Justyn Ross. He caught 10 balls for 150+ yards and he added a score to help his already impressive stat line.

This all comes the great coaching of Dabo Swinney. He has now defeated the Crimson Tide two times in four meetings. That is something we haven’t seen against Nick Saban. Especially with their 20+ point win, Dabo has stated himself as a top head coach in college football, maybe even past the great Nick Saban. Swinney has been able to put athletes together and make them better. He has created an environment where more and more athletes want to join the program and Dabo has made them NFL ready.

With this talent Clemson has accumulated and winning another title, Clemson has to have some serious consideration as the the next Alabama “dynasty” and as the best team in College Football.
