If you ever find yourself bored during the summer, check out the Miller Outdoor Theatre website for upcoming showings. The Miller Outdoor Theatre is located in 6000 Hermann Park Drive in Hermann Park, and it holds performances through the whole week.

The atmosphere is laid-back and casual, making for a very family-friendly and comfortable viewing. You can either get tickets to sit inside the outdoor theatre or bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a spot in the park to get settled and watch the show.

Although the shows are free, they’re far from being cheap. Not only are the shows solid and organized, the Miller Outdoor Theatre also hosts a diverse range of performances from traditional Chinese music, children’s shows, ballet, accordion concerts and musicals, so there’s bound to be something that appeals specifically to your taste.

The Miller Outdoor Theatre is also in a convenient location–right across the street from the Museum of Natural Science, in Hermann Park and a couple of minutes away from the Houston Zoo–so a free performance makes for a nice end to a fun day in our beautiful city.
