Fate of the Furious
Read here to find out what we think about the latest Fast and Furious movie
The Fast and the Furious franchise is going to space in the next two or three movies. You heard it here first folks. The movies are getting more and more ridiculous with each and every installation. I can’t even say that’s a disappointing fact, sometimes a movie is just an action flick.
As much as I would like to express for the plot of this action filled family drama, it’s really strong in comparison to the other Fast movies. Vin Diesel delivers some surprisingly strong moments of emotion swallowed by the depths of fancy overpowered technology, over the top action and some unbelievable dialogue between characters who have no reason to feel anything but hatred for each other. Yes, the Rock and Jason Statham is a winning pair. Both have charisma and fighting skills to spare but Statham’s character did kill Han, a member of the Fast crew about a movie ago. The plot goes to great extents to make use of the star studded cast. I mean, the Rock is a big dude, but when he throws three riot control officers down a hallway with no sign of a sweat you have to ask yourself if you are watching a movie about street racing, or Captain America 4.
I’d be lying if I said the action isn’t enjoyable, but it’s not the kind of thing that keeps a franchise afloat in a sea of films that balance both drama, action and realism. This is a concept long lost on the franchise. In short, I love a good guilty pleasure movie as much as the next guy, but don’t expect me to treat it as anything more than a late night action fill.
