Bullet Journals
Discovering a new way to journal
It was a boring day and I was busy scrolling through Instagram trying to keep myself entertained when I came across some beautiful images of neat yet unique journal pages that seemed made by professionals. After some further researching, I discovered they were known by crafty and artistic bloggers as “Bullet Journals”. If you have never heard of Bullet journals, an easy explanation is that they are a journal for just about everything. If you are artsy, forgetful, the type that gets bored in class or just someone who wants a prettier agenda, you should look into bullet journaling. Many journalers post their ideas and layouts they use so other people can replicate them or you can just create your own unique pages. What goes on the pages you might ask? Anything you want. A few examples:
- A weekly agenda re-made each new week
- To-do lists
- List of flowers
- A decorated page with your favorite quotes
- Movies to watch
- Books to read
- Page of calligraphy
- Taped in Polaroids
Honestly, you can put anything you want in the pages and that is what makes bullet journaling so fun. I began one of my own after scrolling through pages and pages of other people’s journals and gaining an appreciation for the delicate lines and artistic sketches and layouts. I have found that having a Bullet Journal has helped me keep up with good habits, stay updated on my week, keep a list of books I need to read, stay entertained and have something beautiful and motivational to look through when I need it. I highly recommend everyone to start one.
