Good morning Wildcats this is Bennett Richardson with the Word of the Week at the Woods and I think it’s time you get an inside scoop on the morning announcements. While I only go in once a week for the word, every Tuesday I get to watch the amazing work that our morning announcement team does. First off, as everyone gathers in the room, right of the receptionists desk, the student council members sift through the announcements of that day. Each member picks out which announcements they will say. When that’s all said and done and the bell has rung, our student body president Darian Taylor gives his good morning speech. From there Matthew Crandon recites the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the moment of silence. From there, everyone’s favorite associate principal does his share of announcements with his usual gusto. After that, student council takes over and finishes off the announcements with a catchy phrase of the day. Make sure to tune in every morning for all of the news around Cy Woods.
