Starbucks may be delicious and the ideal spot for chilling with friends or a coffee date (when things get awkward you will most likely see someone you know to ease the tension), but the one thing Starbucks is terrible for is studying. I have come to the conclusion that The Daily Brew is the best study spot in Cypress. The ambiance is peaceful and has the perfect little coffee shop feel to it. Everyone comes there to be productive; you will either see people studying or doing some other sort of quiet task. Many of the customers are regulars there and the owner knows them, which just adds to the great level of customer service you get and welcoming environment. The music is an acoustic coffee shop station and is played softly in the background which really helps me concentrate on my studying. I always snag the table behind the bookshelf because it is the most secluded of them all and is the best seat in the house (don’t go stealing my table). I would recommend the espresso because it is perfect for a late afternoon pick me up when you are on a mission to study. And another thing about The Daily Brew that beats Starbucks is that their prices are very reasonable. Oh yes and free wifi. What more can you ask for?
