While I am not an expert on country music, Maddie and Tae’s “Start Here” was an enjoyable album that contained some very endearing pieces.  “Start Here” is their debut album, and it gave me a good impression of their unique style. They both have beautiful and soulful voices that, combined with the catchy tune, will be in your head all week long. Songs like, “Waiting on a Plane” back away from some of the modern “Hick-Hop” style and show the talent for lyrics these girls possess. The song “Girl in a Country Song” on the other hand embraces the newer form of county with an upbeat drumbeat and some parody lyrics making fun of some of the stereotypes in today’s music. As a whole, the album is a very fun and modern collection of songs that doesn’t rely too much on electronics.
