For You and I

Part I

I know more than most my soul will not make it to heaven, for it is too tainted.
I abused my freedom with thoughts of rage and fascinations of the unknown.
I found comfort in my fantasies and peace in knowing my sins are just human nature.
I’m greedy with those I love the most.
I have this strange desire to be older than time itself so I can die with all the knowledge and mysteries the world still needs to know.
When I die, I hope God will allow my soul to burst into a million pieces and be scattered across the night sky.
Right below the kingdom but just above the earth; then I will no longer question my value, and I can shine in the most beautiful form possible.
And all the lost children and broken hearted adolescents can let out their screams of internal terror, and deepest wishes at my stars.
And I will watch over them and I will weep with them.

People like me try to place ourselves on a humble pedestal as if such a thing exist.
