Sitting in a seemingly endless line of cars at 6:40 a.m. is not for the weak. Bumper-to-bumper traffic with LED high -eam lights blinding you from behind makes sitting in the slow-moving queue even worse. With the removal of many school buses and the school rezoning, there are even more drivers flooding the streets and parking lots, which make a mere 10-minute drive into a 20-minute one. It is understandable that parents drop their kids off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon, but it is aggravating when those few cars decide to basically make their own car rider line. Newsflash: This isn’t an elementary school, Cy Woods parents. You don’t get to block the way out so that your kid doesn’t have to walk 50 feet to your big, chunky SUV. (Yes, this is targeted if you haven’t figured that out already.) Chances are that if you ask a student driver about the traffic at school, they’ll tell you a story about how some random parent decided to park in their spot in the morning to drop off their child instead of dropping them at the corner like everybody else. The rage instilled from the school traffic is something that just had to be ranted about.
