Guide to passing the school year

December 16, 2020

Passing the school year is one of the most important things you can do. It can help you find a career and prepare you for the future. If you are passing, then you don’t have to worry about your parents targeting you, having to stay after school to do extra work or having to worry about work you never finish.

First things first: get a good night’s rest. The American Academy of Medicine recommends that kids who are 6-12 years old should get at least 9 hours of sleep, while 13-18 year old teens should get around 8-10. Getting enough sleep will help you focus better and get assignments done quicker. Getting some good sleep will also help prevent you from falling asleep in class.

Respect your teachers. You can do this by not disturbing the class, not interrupting the teacher when they are talking and doing your work when it is given to you. Show your respect by showing up to class on time and not being late, so you’re not counted as late or absent.

Do your homework and turn it in as soon as possible. Turning the homework in a few days late will be -10 points off the total homework grade, and it can affect your grade if you aren’t doing well in that class. If you don’t turn in the homework, then it will be a zero.

Something you should do, if you’re grade is low in a certain class, is ask you’re teacher if they are willing to stay after to help increase your grade. They can give you assignments that you did not do, or they can teach you something early, making you ahead of the class.

The best thing you could do, to help you pass the school year is studying. If you study enough, you will get an advantage at the subject and when doing a review, a quiz, or a test, you will have a better chance at getting a good grade. Studying has been recommended to be on to two hours long each day.

These tips will possibly help you with staying awake in class, keep a good relationship with your teacher and get good grades in your class, which will help you pass this school year .
